Ask your AI assistant for a quiz
Connect Polemia to ChatGPT, Claude or another AI assistant, then ask for a quiz on anything. You get a link to run a live game, and everyone plays on their own phone.
Make a quiz nowHow it works
- Add Polemia to your assistantPaste the address below into your assistant’s connector settings. There is no key to copy and no account to make.
- Ask for a quizSay what you want, such as “a ten-question quiz on volcanoes for my class” or “a film quiz for Friday night”. Your assistant makes it on Polemia in under a minute.
- Open the host link and playYour assistant gives you a host link and a join link. Open the host link on the device you will run the game from, then share the code. Everyone answers on their own phone.
The address to add
https://polemia.ai/mcp- Claude: open Settings, then Connectors, choose “Add custom connector” and paste the address.
- ChatGPT: turn on developer mode in Settings, then add a connector with the address and no authentication.
- Claude Desktop, Claude Code, VS Code, Cursor and others: add it as a remote MCP server in their MCP settings.
What you can ask for
A quiz on any topic, from photosynthesis to the Premier League, with up to 25 questions. Say who it is for, such as “for children under 10”, and every question is made suitable for that age.
Ask for a fact quiz, where each question has one right answer, or a fun one, where the answer most people pick wins.
Your assistant can write the quiz in any of Polemia’s 64 languages. It can also find a ready-made quiz for you, or bring you today’s question for the whole world.
Teachers, quiz hosts, parents and teams all use it the same way. And with no assistant at all, making a quiz on Polemia works in any browser.
For developers and agent builders
Polemia runs a remote MCP server at https://polemia.ai/mcp, over Streamable HTTP. It is free, needs no key and no account, and works with any client that supports MCP. It has three tools:
create_quizmakes a new live quiz on any topic and returns the join link, the code, a QR code and a one-time host link.find_quizzessearches the public library of ready-made quizzes and returns a link to play each one.daily_questionreturns today’s question for the world, its answers and a link to vote.
In Claude Code it is one command: claude mcp add --transport http polemia https://polemia.ai/mcp
Not using MCP? The same three tools are a plain JSON API, described in the OpenAPI file, ready for custom GPT Actions and other tools that call web APIs. The server card is at this address.
Fair-use limits apply to making quizzes, so that it stays free for everyone.
How the host link works
An assistant runs on a server, not in the room, so it cannot host the game itself. Every quiz it makes comes with a host link that works once: the first browser to open it becomes the host, with the same controls as any Polemia game.
Anyone else who opens it just lands on the game, and a chat app showing a preview of the link cannot take it over.
Players can join before the host arrives and wait in the lobby. A game nobody has claimed yet is kept open for 24 hours.
Questions people ask
Is it free?
Yes. Connecting your assistant, making quizzes, hosting and playing are all free, and there is no key or account to set up.
Do the players need an AI assistant?
No. Only the person asking for the quiz needs one. Everyone else joins on any phone, tablet or laptop with the code, in the browser, with no app and no sign-up.
Which assistants work with Polemia?
Any assistant or app that can add a remote MCP server as a connector, such as Claude, ChatGPT in developer mode, Claude Desktop, Claude Code, VS Code and Cursor. Tools that call web APIs can use the plain JSON API instead.
What does my assistant see?
Only what it needs to hand you the game: the quiz’s topic, its code and its links, the titles of library quizzes, and today’s question. It never sees who played, their nicknames or their answers.
Who hosts the game?
Whoever opens the host link first. That browser gets the host controls, so open it on the phone or laptop you will run the game from. Anyone who opens it after that just lands on the game.
