How it works

  1. Paste the address
Any public web page with real text on it, or a link to a Google Doc, Google Slides or a PDF on Google Drive. Choose 5, 10, 15 or 20 questions, and say what to focus on if you like.
  2. Check the questions
Each one has four options and one right answer, written from the page. Change the wording, swap an answer, add your own. The quiz is saved on your device.
  3. Play it live
Start the game and share the code. Everyone joins on their phone, with no app and no account, and the scores update after every question.

Who it is for

Teachers turning this morning’s news into a lesson starter. Book clubs and study groups checking who did the reading. Quiz hosts who want a round on this week’s headlines. Anyone who has just read something good and wants to see who else was paying attention.

What happens to the page

The page is read once to write the questions. Quizzes made from Google Docs, Drive, Slides or your own files are always private.

A quiz made from a public news, sport or general-interest web page may also be added to the public library, so other people can play it too.

Questions people ask

What kind of links work?

An ordinary public web page with enough text to ask about, such as an article or a reference page, or a Google Doc, Google Slides or a PDF on Google Drive. A page with hardly any text on it cannot make a quiz.

My Google Doc link does not work. Why?

The document needs to be shared so that anyone with the link can view it. Change the sharing setting in Google, then paste the link again.

Can I choose what the questions are about?

Yes. Add a note such as "names and dates" or "the second half only", and the questions will follow it.

Is it free?

Yes, free to make and free to play. Nobody needs an account, an email address or an app.
